Oli Rayner – Associate Partner
- Oli has worked in investment banking and private equity for twelve years providing corporate finance advice and raising capital to support growth strategies and strategic transactions. He has also been a principal in a number of businesses in the financial and media sectors.
- He started his career as a financial analyst with Salomon Brothers in London where worked on international mergers and acquisitions and debt capital markets deals. Moving into smaller caps, Oli spent five years as a director of Merchant Capital, a corporate finance and stockbroking firm, raising capital for growth companies on the AIM and PLUS markets.
- He was also an Associate at Bracken Partners, a Guernsey-based private equity fund backed by Generali, where he was responsible for investments in the technology and financial sectors including Active Hotels (online hotel booking engine), Integrated Financial Arrangements (online administration platform for IFAs) and Cardpoint (independent ATMs).
- Working as an independent consultant, Oli has advised companies and private investment groups in the financial, media, entertainment, renewable energy and natural resources sectors.
- He co-founded the independent emissions broking firm CarbonDesk Group plc where he acted as Corporate Development Director through the firm’s initial fundraising and subsequent flotation on PLUS in February 2009.
- Oli is also an investor in, and on the board of, Zespa Media Ltd, a media company which works with rights-holders to identify and distribute TV programmes and formats into the rapidly evolving Chinese media market.
